The crew

Built by Hackers

We are security researchers from UCSB, ASU, and BU. All five of us come from Shellphish — we've competed at DEF CON, built autonomous exploit systems for DARPA's AIxCC, pwned devices at Pwn2Own, and published at USENIX Security, IEEE S&P, and ICLR.

Wil Gibbs WG

Wil Gibbs

CEO & Co-Founder · PhD, ASU SEFCOM

Former captain of the Shellphish CTF team. Specializes in systems security and binary analysis, with publications at USENIX Security. Co-Led the Shellphish AIxCC team, using LLMs for root-cause analysis, guided fuzzing, and creative code reasoning. Veteran of DEF CON CTF and Pwn2Own.

Jay Vadayath JV

Jay Vadayath

Co-Founder · PhD, ASU SEFCOM

Seasoned security researcher and CTF player since 2014 with Team bi0s and later Shellphish. Competed in Pwn2Own Toronto (2022-2023) and published at USENIX Security. His work spans static analysis, fuzzing, and applying LLMs to security, most recently at DARPA’s AIxCC.

Fabio Gritti FG

Fabio Gritti

Co-Founder · PhD, UCSB Seclab

Works at the intersection of binary exploitation, symbolic execution, and AI — building systems that don’t just find bugs, they understand and fix them. Published at IEEE S&P and USENIX Security. Pushed the boundaries of autonomous cyber defense during DARPA’s AI Cyber Challenge.

Lukas Dresel LD

Lukas Dresel

Co-Founder · PhD, UCSB Seclab

Specializes in automated bug-finding via fuzzing and symbolic execution. In DARPA’s AIxCC, harnessed LLM reasoning to build scalable dynamic analysis infrastructure. Co-captain of Shellphish with 12+ years of CTF experience, driving the team to nearly every DEF CON finals since DEF CON 25.

Saad Ullah SU

Saad Ullah

CTO & Co-Founder · PhD, BU Seclab

Focused on applying and hardening LLMs for vulnerability management. Published at IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, and ICLR. In DARPA’s AIxCC, built an AI-driven patching system that turns cutting-edge research into deployable security tools.

We build in the open.

The same research we took to DARPA's AI Cyber Challenge now ships as a product. Follow the work, or get early access to what we're building.
